To send SMS through Craft — Speed to Lead, Outbound Campaigns, or the messaging agent — your business must be registered through 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code), the US carrier registration system for business SMS. Craft files the registration on your behalf through our messaging provider, Telnyx, but we need you to supply the information below. There are two pieces: a brand (your business) and one or more campaigns (the messaging use case). Both have to be filed and approved before you can send.

Brand information

Filed once per business. Send these to your Craft contact at onboarding.

Campaign information

Filed once per messaging use case. Most customers run one “Mixed” campaign that covers both Speed to Lead and outbound.

Privacy policy requirements

Carriers fetch the URL you supply and read the policy directly. Three things have to be present, or the campaign is rejected:
  1. A dedicated SMS / messaging section listing the data you collect when someone opts in (name, phone number, message content).
  2. An explicit no-sharing-for-marketing statement — see the language below. This sentence has to override any general “we may share data with advertising platforms” clause elsewhere in the policy.
  3. Opt-out and help disclosure — STOP to opt out, HELP for help, message and data rates may apply, frequency varies.

Sample language

Paste this into your privacy policy under a heading like “SMS / Text Messaging.” The no-sharing sentence should appear verbatim — carriers grep for it.

Terms and conditions requirements

Hosted on your own domain alongside the privacy policy. Carriers check that the document is reachable via a normal link (popups don’t count) and contains the following:
  1. Brand / program name — identifies who’s sending.
  2. Description of the messaging program — what kinds of messages consumers will receive.
  3. Message frequency disclosure — e.g. “Message frequency varies.”
  4. Rates disclosure“Message and data rates may apply.”
  5. Opt-out instructions — reply STOP to unsubscribe.
  6. Customer care contact — an email or phone number for support.
  7. Reference to your privacy policy — link to the privacy policy.
A short standalone “SMS Terms of Service” page on your website is usually the cleanest way to handle this.

Timeline

  • Brand review: instant for most, up to 1 business day for vetting edge cases.
  • Campaign review: typically 1–5 business days.
